TENNIS
Tex Hollywood - June 28, 2023
Obviously, tennis is a very sophisticated a classy sport. It is dignified and has rules along the lines of silence in the stands when the players are playing.
There are also rules in regards to the uniforms being worn and people may remember the 80s when Agassi wore his flaming neon Nike's causing a stir, or more recent, probably also with Nike, when one of the Williams sister wore some spandex unitard you see on any given street these days as it's now a trend.
Wimbeldon, one of the older grand slam events, definitely one of the more British and uptight events stuck in tradition, has decided to allow players to wear dark underwear.
The idea is to offer some relief of unwanted stains from periods or shitting their pants.
Previous rules prohibited any deviation from all white clothing and for some reason, some players, like Karolina Pliskova, are not going to wear black shorts because she never worried about dirty white panties on teh big stage.
She does say that some girls may have had issues in the past, so if it helps them relieve some stress, it's good, but nothing but white panties for her.
Another player named Ons Jabeur said that she'd rather wear nothing at all, which would update the sport in the RIGHT way we've always wanted.
Who knew there was so much controversy around panty color, more importantly over women wanting to keep the panties white. Fascinating.
