Wayne Gretzky Gets Sued Over Gum!

Canadian Hockey legend Wayne Gretzky has got himself sued!

A man named Steven Sparks is suing Gretzky for 10 million dollars, claiming that the NHL icon lied about a weight loss produce his wife was hired to promote.

The product was called "OMG GUM", which was packaged as a natural gum used to manage weight. Gretzky, who was not hired by the brand, claimed that he lost 35 pounds chewing the gum, and according to the lawsuit, that was a lie.

It is possible that Gretzky did lose 35 pounds chewing the gum, but to credit the gum for that, may have been a little over the top, but for all we know, maybe all he consumed was the gum.

All your fasters out there know that chewing gum for 30 days as your only source of calories would probably result in huge weight loss, while adding gum to your already terrible diet, won't.

Does that warrant a lawsuit? Well, since it only costs 500 dollars or less to sue someone and most people settle out of court, it probably was worth the effort.

If Gretzky was to actually go through the lawsuit, spending millions defending himsself, we can assume he'd win, however that's just not how the legal system works, which is why everyone sues everyone over anything.
