Vincent Jackson Likely Dead for Days Even as Hotel Staff Entered His Room

Holy shit...  The already very sad death of former NFL wide receiver Vincent Jackson at 38 is even sadder than previously thought.

Vincent was found dead on Monday in a Florida hotel room he had been staying in since January.  He may have actually died days earlier.

According to new information, the hotel staff entered his room on Saturday and Sunday and noticed he was slouched over on the couch.

According to findings from the medical examiner’s office in Brandon, Fla., Jackson may have been dead for several days before a housekeeper found his body on Feb. 15. The Initial Case Summary, which was obtained by ESPN’s Jenna Laine, states that hotel staff entered Jackson’s room on Feb. 13 and Feb. 14 and noticed that he was slouched over on the couch. The report states that they assumed Jackson was sleeping.

On Monday, hotel staff realized that Jackson hadn’t moved from his previous spot and called 911. The 38-year-old was pronounced dead when authorities arrived.

This offers up some more details about Jackson's final days, but it also brings up more questions.

Was Jackson just passed out all over his hotel room all the time?  I can't figure out how you walk into a room and not notice that the person in the room is dead.
