Urban Meyer stopped by the Rich Eisen Show this week and was of course asked about his famous tight end Tim Tebow. Eisen asked Meyer how the former quarterback's workout at tight end came together and what the chances are that he makes the Jags 53 man roster.
Meyer said that he talked to Tebow prior to the workout, but purposely didn't attend it. He left that evaluation up to the general manager, offensive coordinator and tight ends coach.
The Jaguars head coach didn't have a percentage that Tebow would make the team, but did indicate things have been going well.
"We don’t know. This is uncharted waters. This is gonna be very difficult. But he’s been doing great. He’s been doing great in practice. He’s learning the offense. As you can imagine, he’s working as hard as anybody. I see a good camaraderie amongst the team with him. It’s been good so far."
How’d @TimTebow end up part of the 90-man @Jaguars roster?

I'm not really a Tebow guy, but I am a guy who likes pissing people off. Tebow making the 53 man roster would piss a lot of people off. I'm here for that!

Tebow has made a lot of Jag fans. Many are convinced he was screwed over like no other QB in NFL history because of his beliefs and the cult like following he had. In a sport with such a bad reputation of wife beaters and cop haters, they could use a guy like Tebow who bows the knee to God and not to the cancel culture, who treats the weakest among us with dignity.
