Umpire Gets The Ball in the Balls!

I like to think this is a page out of the America's Funniest Home Video book, where the baseball marketing team decided on a few potential ideas for a viral video and landed with the timeless classic "Hit him in the balls", people will watch that on repeat, share that to their friends, it will be an instant classic.

Unless this umpire was in the wrong place at the wrong time, you'd just assume he'd know better!

On Monday night's game between the Reds and the Padres, in the top of the 6th, Padres pitcher threw a bad pitch that missed the catcher and bounced into the umpire's crotch.

The entire stadium moaned along with it, as we do when we see this kind of tragedy unfold.

There is no word as to weather he survived the incident.
