News that Dodgers pitcher Trevor Bauer was accused of sexual assault didn't get past the desk of Mets pitcher Noah Syndergaard. Maybe it should have.
The two star pitchers have a history of battling it out on Twitter and Syndergaard decided it was a good idea to make a joke about Bauer's current situation.

Poking fun at Bauer was not a good idea. Twitter wasn't a fan of his joke and they let him know it.
This really isn’t something to make a joke out of.

Dude, no. A woman was sexually assaulted. This is not a chapter in your rivalry with Bauer. This is not about you at all. Delete this.

You won't see this but this is a bad look. Dunking on him because of an SA allegation makes the victim mere fodder for your feud with Bauer. It's bigger than that and this makes you look like you're trivializing it to score a cheap "point" against Bauer.

Real men do not sexually assault or make fun of serious matters like sexual assault.

At this point this is a he said, she said situation. Until all of the facts about the situation come out, it's best to sit on the sidelines.
You don't want to be the guy joking about sexual assault if that's what happened in this case.
