Troy Aikman has been calling games on FOX for the last 21 years.  This Sunday’s NFC Championship game could be his last with FOX.

Aikman's contract expires after the game and there is speculation that he could be leaving to join Amazon's Thursday Night Football coverage.  He acknowledged that Sunday's game could be the last game he calls for FOX.

From Star-Telegram:

“Those conversations are happening now,” Aikman said. “And I’m really being as honest as I can be about it. I really don’t know what it’s gonna look like when it’s all said and done and it does get settled. As to whether I’ll be working for Fox and Amazon, whether I’ll just be working for Fox or whether I’ll just be working for Amazon. I really don’t know what might happen.”

Might Sunday’s championship game tilt be his last game on Fox? “It could be, yeah. I don’t anticipate that but it could be,” Aikman said.

If Aikman and Joe Buck are split up that means we won't be able to get our suffering over with in a single broadcast.

Nobody wants that.  Hopefully they find a way to keep these two together and we get the terrible experience that is Aikman and Buck over in a single shot.
