There is a viral story circulating this internet thing about Conor McGregor not making the cut in the Top 10 athlete earners on social media, because at least 10 other athletes make more per social media post than he does.
A Sports Data firm has calculated how much the biggest names across sports make per social media post, which for those of you who don't know social media, since this is one of those old fashioned website type of things, means that brands pay people per post on their feeds, and some of these people charge life changing money for a simple post on their feed.
We're talking a selfie, that you take daily to check out your swagger, commands crazy money for some of these people.
The study is a little biased, only because it's a catch all list that includes all the soccer player stars you know get paid crazy, but also includes The Rock as a wrestler, when he's arguably, the most followed celebrity on social media.
Ronaldo comes in at the top, making 2 million per post, The Rock is at 1 million for post, Lebron at 428,000 per post and Beckham makes 250k.
Connor McGregor's coming in at $149k per post, but with his recent dive into acting, The Rock may be smelling what he's cooking in a few years time!
Here's that list that may or may not be all that accurate, but we'll use it as a benchmark anyway!
