The freaks over at META have been working hard to bring us into the living version of a Black Mirror episode by introducing 28 new "AI personas" to their platforms. Some of these new personas are based on actual celebrities and athletes like Tom Brady, who's persona is going by the name "Bru" which is not even a real a name, so it's a little confusing, and Dwyane Wade who's persona goes by the name "Victor".
The personas that you recognize all spent some time in the studio recording videos for the platform and while they look familiar, Meta says that the AI personas represent characters and not the celebrities themselves. So don't expect to get any personal questions answered by these guys, like asking Bru what it was like being married to Gisele.
Meta says that the point of these personas is to allow you to have a "big brother" figure that you can talk to about anything, but we know this is just another creepy way for Zuckerberg to get more of your data that he can turn around and sell to God knows who.
Not only are you handing over all of your intimate thoughts to Meta, you're also helping train the AI to become sentient (if it isn't already), allowing it to become even more believable in the future and further blurring the lines between what's real and whats fake.
Here's a look at Tom and Dwyane's personas Bru and Victor
