The MLB season is just a couple of weeks old, but some teams are already in midseason form. The Detroit Tigers, who finished 77-85 last season, are one of those teams.
In the first inning of their game on Tuesday night against the visiting Yankees Tigers pitcher Tyler Alexander made an error on a popup that allowed two runs to score. It's something you would see on a little league field.
Josh Donaldson hit a popup at the plate that ended up drifting right out in front of the plate. Tigers catcher Tucker Barnhart wasn't able to adjust quick enough to make the catch and it ended up coming down in Alexander's lap, he made a terrible attempt to catch it and two runs scored.

The Yankees would win the game 4-2. That's about as costly as an error can get. But all is right in the world because we can't have the Tigers win too many games.
