The President of the Pro Football Hall of Fame Announced His Retirement

SJ - October 17, 2021

On Saturday David Baker resigned from his position as the president of the Pro Football Hall of Fame.  He and NFL commissioner Roger Goodell included comments in the official announcement.

The timing of the announcement has led to some speculation that Baker might have an email or two out there.  There isn't any evidence of that and it's probably unfair to loop Baker into the email scandal with speculation.

But you never really know who is doing what behind the scenes.  Baker loves football and knocking on doors to let people know they're going to be Hall of Famers.

I'm hoping Baker retired on his own terms.  We need some of greats to walk away with their reputation intact.
