Cam Newton's time as the Patriots quarterback is expected to come to an end. New England missed the playoffs for the first time in forever.
While the Patriots missing out on the postseason isn't all Newton's fault, Adam Schefter reported that the two sides are expected to part ways.
The former MVP, who played well at times, clearly isn't the same guy he was in Carolina before injuries caught up to him.
The #Patriots and QB Cam Newton are expected to part ways this off-season, per @AdamSchefter
Cam Newton passed for only 5 TDs in 14 starts with 10 INTs - He did add 12 rushing TDs from his QB position.

It's hard to tell if Cam will find another job in the NFL as a starter. This seemed to be his last shot.
The Patriots on the other hand will be looking for another quarterback as well. Jarrett Stidham doesn't appear to be the answer.
