The Jets Have Traded Sam Darnold to the Panthers for Three Draft Picks

Why?  Not why are the Jets trading Sam Darnold, but why are the Panthers trading for him?

The Panthers were desperate to trade for a quarterback.  I don't think anyone knew they were three draft picks for Sam Darnold desperate to make a move.

This move all but ends the Teddy Bridgewater era in Carolina.  A very bizarre move to say the least.  It was bizarre to sign Bridgewater to a three-year, $63 million deal in the first place.

It's even nuttier to trade for another quarterback when you still have him under contract for two more years and $39 million left on his deal, including $10 million fully guaranteed in 2021.

Something tells me this is a move pushed down from the very top.  And as a Panthers fan, I hate this fucking move and I'm really starting to hate this fucking team.
