Over the weekend a video surfaced of a police officer in Kenosha, Wisconsin shooting an unarmed Black man in the back as he attempted to get into his vehicle. A second video revealed that the man, 29-year-old Jacob Blake, was in some sort of struggle with officers prior to the shooting.
After watching the videos of the shooting people are demanding answers.
The Detroit Lions joined those looking for answers and canceled practice on Tuesday to address the shooting outside of their team facility. The players came together and delivered messages on a white board before speaking with reporters.
No practice for Lions today. Team is coming out to address reporters in the driveway momentarily.

Players say football is not important today after what happened over the weekend to Jacob Blake. Instead of practice, they’re using their platform to promote social justice.

The Lions decision to cancel practice is definitely going to get some attention. If they were hoping to shine some more light on this case then I think it's safe to say that will happen.
