Haley and Hanna Cavinder announced back in April that they are taking their talents to the University of Miami. The announcement came after the two had big seasons last year on and off the court. Haley and Hanna were one and two on the team in rebounds, assists and points at Fresno State.
The guards also cashed in big on their new name, image and likeness after the NCAA setup rules last summer. The twins have 4 million followers on TikTok and another 1 million followers on Instagram. With the large following and the attention from NIL deals comes plenty of hate. They have a message for those haters through an interview with the NY Post:
“A lot of people like to let us know about it,” Haley said of their social-media popularity. “But we’ll see them on the court.”
“People forget that before COVID happened, and before we blew up on TikTok, we were just basketball players trying to get a college scholarship together and achieve our goals,” she continued. “Basketball has always been the main thing.”
They're going to fit in fine at The U. They already have haters and they're already sticking a middle finger up at them. That's how they roll at Miami.
