Texas Football is Back and the Longhorns Have J-Lo to Thank for That

Texas football is finally back!  Not because Steve Sarkisian is entering his second year at the school or the fact that they landed former No. 1 overall recruit Quinn Ewers via the transfer portal.

It has nothing to do with anything on the field.  It has everything to do with Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck tying the knot.  That's right, the Longhorns have won 11 games every time J-Lo has gotten married this millennium.

Every time Jennifer Lopez has gotten married this millennium, Texas has had an 11-win season the same year.

In 2001, when she married Cris Judd, Texas went 11-2 and won the Holiday Bowl.  They finished ranked No.15.  Then in 2004, when she married Marc Anthony, the Longhorns went 11-1 that season, finished ranked No.4 and won the Rose Bowl.

A 5-7 season is a lot to overcome, but with the J-Lo bump anything is possible.  Go ahead and pencil the Longhorns into the College Football Playoffs.
