Steve Smith isn't known as a guy who holds back on anything and on the Thursday Night Football pregame show the topic of Odell Backham Jr's situation in Cleveland came up. As you would expect he shared exactly what he thought about it.
Smith puts the blame squarely on Baker Mayfield. He pulled out the "son" when addressing the Browns quarterback and had this to say, "you're not very good and Odell is moving on because of you."

Steve didn't have to do that to Baker, but he wouldn't be the Steve Smith we all know and love if he didn't. I don't know that he's wrong, but the Browns haven't had a quarterback with Baker's ability in many years, even if he's not as good as he thinks he is.
The Browns don't have much of a choice but to stick with Baker and dump Odell, which is apparently what they're going to do today. So Steve is right and so are the Browns.
