The Seahawks ended a disappointing season with a win over the playoff bound Cardinals on Sunday. The off-season, which could be a busy one in Seattle, got off to a bad start when hours after the game backup quarterback Geno Smith was arrested.
Smith was arrested on suspicion of DUI early Monday morning. Following news of the arrest his attorney released a statement asking people to keep an open mind.
The arrest happened at 2:10 a.m. PT. He was released from custody roughly seven hours later.
“Geno is fully cooperative with the investigation,” attorney Jon Fox told the AP. “I hope that an open mind can be kept by all as the facts are ascertained.”
Not exactly how you want to get the off-season started after a 10 loss season. I have a feeling this won't be the biggest off-season story.
