Panthers quarterback Sam Darnold has never played a full season of games in the NFL and he won't be doing so this season either. It was reported on Tuesday that in addition to sucking, he's also hurt.
Coming off of a three interception blowout loss it was revealed that Darnold has a fractured scapula in his right shoulder. He's expected to miss several weeks as a result.
After two days of testing, exams revealed that #Panthers QB Sam Darnold has a fractured scapula, sources say. The right shoulder injury will most likely lead to Darnold missing several weeks. PJ Walker, his backup, will step in.

As a Panthers fan I'm glad Darnold is finally off the field, but I don't feel any better about my team's quarterback situation. That's because P.J. Walker is the backup and will start.
As bad as Darnold has been the reason he hasn't been benched is because they don't have any other options. The season is officially over.
