Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas, who waited to have off-season surgery on his injured ankle, will not be coming off of the PUP list. According to Ian Rapoport, he's still expected to miss a couple of more weeks.

Thomas is definitely missed, but probably not as much as if Drew Brees was still the quarterback in New Orleans. With a quarterback who can throw the ball down the field a guy nicknamed Slant Boy isn't really a necessity.
That's probably what was going through Thomas' mind when he decided to wait so close to the season to have surgery. Can't blame him for a drop in production if he isn't on the field.
