There's always one guy who misses the start of the season after having surgery months after the season ends. Saints wide receiver, and the master of the slant, Michael Thomas is that guy this year.
Thomas is expected to miss the start of the 2021 season after having ankle surgery in June. Thomas injured the ankle last season and will need four months to recover from the surgery.

Why not get game checks to rehab? I'm not knocking the hustle, it's just not the move of a player who wants to be out there every week to grab themselves a ring.
That said I don't have all of the details and I'm just talking out of my ass...
