Russel Wilson Demonstrates New Amazon Football You Fell For!

Tex Hollywood - August 31, 2022

The world leaders at Amazon and Wilson have partnered up with the NFL to launch a newly designed football for Thursday Night Football, meaning, this is the ball that will be exclusively used for Thursday Nigh Football!

In their own marketing of the ball, they've said that since 1941 through 2022 the football has basically had all the same specs, but not anymore buddy, because Amazon has decided to make a longer, narrower, faster, more aerodynamic, easier to grip ball, which I guess they hope changes the game enough to get people watching!

Obviously the fans fell for it because they are traditionalists, some couldn't understand how a ball can be changed for one game per week, rather than across the whole league and basically people fell for the bait!

The reality of it is that Amazon is not actually changing the ball, it just doesn't make sense and that this is just a viral stunt to get people talking about Thursday Night Football!

They did execute the joke well and even recruited Russell Wilson, not related to the Wilson Football company, at least not that I know of, to demonstrate the new ball!

His caption:

Heat coming from this new Prime ball on Thursday nights 🔥 ... New team. New ball. New season. Let’s Ride! #TNFonPrime

So they've planted the seed, committed to the joke, and maybe, this is the future of football, just not this season!

I don't know about you, but I love a good viral stunt!
