Richard Sherman played for the 49ers for three seasons and was a teammate of Jimmy Garoppolo. He doesn't appear to be too happy with the 49ers fans who aren't appreciating Jimmy G.
Garoppolo has his weaknesses for sure, but he also wins games. He's 31-14 in five seasons with the 49ers. He led the team to a Super Bowl two seasons ago and has them in NFC Divisional round this season.
Sherman thinks 49ers fans are going to miss Jimmy G when he's gone.
From Larry Brown Sports:
"It's really sad because the appreciation isn't going to start when Trey [Lance] starts playing QB, because you're not even appreciating winning."
"Some of these fans aren't even appreciating the win."
It's hard to argue with that. It's not about the stats, it's about the wins. Jimmy G wins games. He's got a big one this weekend against one of the all-time stats guys. Don't count Jimmy G out of this one.
