Rays star pitcher Tyler Glasnow has elbow inflammation and a partial tear of his UCL. The injury was discovered after he says he had more soreness than usual from pitching without the help of substances for grip his last couple of starts.
Glasnow, who admitted he used the combination of sunscreen and rosin to assist with grip, is blaming MLB's crackdown on substances for his injury. Here's his take on the situation.

That or maybe he hurt himself running his hand through his hair too many times. Who knows? Or something else involving a stiff grip and your elbow.
