The Portland Sea Dogs and Binghamton Rumble Ponies had a legit brawl take place after a batter was hit by a pitch. It all went down in the bottom of the third inning when Binghamton pitcher Marcel Renteria hit Portland's Tyreque Reed with a pitch.
Reed started to take first base and everything looked like it was going to be a simple hit by a pitch. That changed when Renteria started yelling something towards the umpire or his catcher. Whatever was said Reed didn't like it and the two squared off.
That's when Reed threw a big right hand momentarily dropping Renteria. The benches cleared and a full blown wild brawl took place. When the dust settled Renteria was down on the ground in pain.
Oh no. Benches cleared in the Binghamton-Portland game. Pitcher Marcel Renteria took a punch to the head. pic.twitter.com/tu7wSjjO3C

I don't know what was said, but I doubt the pitcher will be saying it to Reed again. Other pitchers might want to ask so they don't make the same mistake. Reed has a pretty good right.
