Philip Rivers called it a career after a season in Indianapolis with the Colts. He's now coaching high school football to ignore his insanely large family.
Despite his new career the 39-year-old hasn't closed the door on an NFL comeback. He is down for a stint late in the season with an NFL team that might need him.
Spent the first half of the day with Philip Rivers who assures me that, while he's focused on coaching high school football now, he isn't closing the door on coming back for a stint late in the season if there's an NFL team that needs him.

I'm sure an NFL team will need a quarterback at some point during the season, but whether or not a team will need a sidearmed quarterback who throws wobbling ducks is yet to be seen.
