In the event you haven't been paying attention, and really, with all this noise, you should probably not be paying attention. Maybe go outside and plant a garden or build an off-grid shelter do something more meaningful with your life than worry about scandals and drama in the internet world.
In the event you haven't been paying attention, Kyrie Irving has been labeled an anti-semite for promoting some movie that I heard was available on Amazon, but since I didn't pay attention because I was planting my garden and building my off-grid shelter, I didn't get too caught up in the story, but people got VERY mad about it.
What I do know is that Irving was suspended for a handful of games, both him and his team were penalized, his mandatory donation of 500k or something along those lines was rejected because he's that evil, and he lost his Nike deal as they pulled his soon to be released shoe.
Well, according to AP , Phil Knight, the founder of the Nike brand was on CNBC and he said:
“Kyrie stepped over the line....It’s kind of that simple. He made some statements that we just can’t abide by and that’s why we ended the relationship. And I was fine with that.”
He basically said “I would doubt that we go back,” but also said “But I don’t know for sure.”
So I guess we don't know where they officially stand, but we do know that you have to be careful what you say if you are a public figure who wants to keep your sponsors, team, peers and fans happy. Just shut up and smile and plant your garden and build your off-grid shelter!
In other Kyrie News, here's professional "piece of shit" Howard Stern's angry take on Kyrie. I don't know how much of what he is saying is fact, or just spewing nonsense opinion from his billion dollar castle, but here it is regardless.
