On Wednesday NFL insider Adam Schefter reported that the Seahawks were expected to make a push to sign wide receiver Antonio Brown. Later in the day head coach Pete Carroll was asked about the possible signing.
Carroll gave a barely coherent answer to the question. He said that Seattle was "tuned in" to Brown's situation and that they have "endeavored to be in on everything that’s going on."
Bottom line, he didn't say no.
From The Seattle Times:
Carroll said the Seahawks are “tuned in’’ to the Brown situation and reiterated the team’s long-held philosophy to always “be in on everything.”
“We have endeavored to be in on everything that’s going on, and (general manager) John (Schneider) has done a marvelous job of always being tuned in to what’s happening, and this is no exception,” Carroll said “We’ll see what happens as we go forward. But we’re tuned in to what’s happening there.”
Adding AB to the mix would certainly help Russell Wilson cook. The Seahawks seem to be all in on letting Russ do that.
But adding AB also adds a guy who is an absolute tool off the field to the mix. One CTE flare up and he could be back on the street.
