Patrick Mahomes' status for the AFC Championship game is currently up in the air after he left Sunday's win over the Browns with what was assumed to be a head injury. According to reports the Chiefs quarterback didn't hit his head and doesn't have a concussion.
Mahomes is said to have "tweaked" a nerve in his neck that made him temporarily "out of it." He passed all of the tests done on Sunday night and will have his neck and nerve looked at today.
A source has told me
“Patrick passed all of his tests last night. He didn’t actually hit his head, there was a nerve in his neck that got tweaked that made him out of it. He’s getting testing done on his neck/nerve today but did clear all tests last night.” @610SportsKC

I don't know if "tweaking" a nerve in your neck that shuts everything off is worse than suffering a concussion or not. What I do know is Mahomes is going to do everything he can to be out there for the AFC Championship game.
