Last week was an interesting one for Patrick Mahomes and his fiancee Brittany Matthews. They went viral sitting courtside at a basketball game then came a report that the Chiefs QB asked Matthews and his brother not to attend games next season.
The report came from former NFL player and current FOX Sports Radio host Rich Ohrnberger. He would later admit that he got the information from someone pretending to be someone he knew and trusted.
🎙 @ohrnberger: " I’m not trying to play a victim here because I feel contrition for spreading a false story that went viral, however it's my job and responsibility as a broadcaster to vet sources and I made a mistake by not doing that."

Not many outlets picked up on that and the original story had already spread like wildfire. Mahomes responded to it by tweeting, "Y'all just be making stuff up these days 😂😂😂."
Mahomes' fiancee responded to someone who seems to get why such a story would be believed so quickly. The fan tweeted out "Apparently it’s the cool thing to do…" in response to a question about why so many people hate Matthews.
Here's how she responded.
Yup the cool thing to do. Quite hysterical how something like that can become cool.😵💫 https://t.co/V278fXi9L7

I would feel bad for Matthews if she didn't talk so much shit. If you talk shit you can expect plenty of haters. That's just how things work.
If you can't take the hate quit talking so much shit. It's pretty simple.
