Packers wide receiver Devin Funchess took to social media early Sunday morning to apologize for a comment he made during a press conference after practice on Saturday night.
He was apparently greeted by reporters with face masks on and commented that he liked to see smiles. One of the reporters responded that he was smiling.
Funchess then dropped an anti-Asian slur while explaining he could see that they were smiling because of their eyes. Here's that exchange:

There were some who took note of Funchess' comments and he released an early morning apology. Here's his apology:

Funchess' first season in Green Bay isn't off to a great start. The regular season hasn't even started yet and he's catching heat for saying something stupid.
