Packers WR Davante Adams Will Not Play on Franchise Tag

The Packers franchised tagged wide receiver Davante Adams.  The tag will pay him just over $20 million in 2022.  That assumes he plays while tagged.

That doesn't look like that will be the case.  According to Ian Rapoport, Adams has informed the Packers that he will not play on the franchise tag.

Adams learned playing hardball from his pal Aaron Rodgers.  Like Rodgers, he'll likely play for the Packers in 2022 but not before getting what he wants out of the franchise.
