The Packers are working on a "short-term" deal for Aaron Rodgers as they wait for him to make his decision on whether or not he wants to return to Green Bay. Getting him back is their top priority.
According to Ian Rapoport, the short-term deal for Rodgers will be an expensive one. It sounds like the back-to-back MVP/playoff choker is leaning towards returning to the Packers.
"Nothing is done, but they are having discussions. They are having negotiations to have a deal, hopefully for them, ready to go if and when Aaron Rodgers firmly and finally decides that he wants to return."

You hate to hear it. But it's not surprising, Rodgers needs to stay in a terrible division to add to his regular season legacy. Expect a lot more losing in the playoffs!
