Noah Syndergaard and Trevor Bauer Did Battle on Twitter

Two of Major League Baseball's most recognizable pitchers got into a war of words on Twitter last night.  It all started when Mets pitcher Noah Syndergaard poked fun at Dodgers pitcher Trevor Bauer for his handling of his free agency this off-season.

The reigning Cy Young Award winner hinted that he would be signing with the Mets, it was even falsely reported, before eventually inking a deal with the World Series champs.

Bauer, never one to back down from a good Twitter battle, responded to Syndergaard with what seemed like a tweet wishing him well.  That was before he dug up some old Instagram comments Syndergaard made to a fan.

Things continued to deteriorate from there...

Syndergaard responded by coming over the top and pretty much putting an end to the back-and-forth.  He brought up Bauer's infamous drone incident and his music, which I'm guessing not everyone was aware of.

It's almost impossible to recover from that.  So Bauer wisely didn't even make an attempt to.

More importantly than their little Twitter battle is the fact that Spring Training is here and baseball is right around the corner.  Let's hope the pettiness carries into the season and we get a nice Bauer vs Syndergaard battle on the field.
