Nick Kyrgios to Compete in the French Open Because New Girlfriend Wants to See Paris

Tennis bad boy, and romantic, Nick Kyrgios told tennis reporter Blair Henley that he will compete in the French Open next year.  This will end a five year absence.

So why is he competing in the tournament?  His new girlfriend Costeen Hatzi wants to visit Paris.  He's still skipping this year's French Open, which is still a few weeks away.

From the Daily Star:

"Next year I am going to go to Paris.  I'm announcing that now, I'm going to the French Open.  I haven't played that in four years so I'll be back next year.  My girlfriend just wants to see Paris.  I mean, I'll play the French Open as well."

A lot of things can happen between now and next year's French Open.  Given his past relationships, and tendency to hookup with fans, it's not out of the realm of possibility that he might not be with his current girlfriend.  Future him problems.  Say it now and worry about it later.
