Duque Hebbert is a 21 year old pitcher for Nicaragua's World Baseball Classic team just landed himself an MLB contract with the Detroit Tigers after a a game against the Dominican the other day.
In the game, her struck out 3 of Dominican's top hitters who just happen to also be the MLB's top hitters .
He struck out Juan Soto , Julio Rodriguez and Manny Machado, the toughest part of the line-up and his team did lose 6-1, but it was still a win for Hebbert because he got signed to the Majors.
Sure, his deal is a Minor League deal for the Tigers, but that's a pretty good place to start the climb to becoming a well paid superstar in the league.
Clearly, as a baseball player, even from international locales, signing to the Majors is a dream, so remember dreams do come true if you're top of your game in your craft, for the rest of us, who needs dreams!
