NBA Officials Threatened to Ban Enes Kanter for Wearing “Free Tibet” Sneakers

That's what Enes Kanter is saying anyways.  The Celtics center went on CNN and talked about being approached by NBA officials who tried to get him to take off his "Free Tibet" shoes and said he could be banned for wearing them.

It went down at Madison Square Garden earlier this season when the Celtics played the Knicks.  Kanter refused to take the shoes off and says the officials apologized to him at halftime of that game.

Kanter didn't back down from his criticism of Turkey and he's not going to back down on his China stance.  It's about human rights to him not politics.

The NBA is soft as shit for not publicly backing Kanter.  Talk about whatever you want in the NBA, except China.  They have the league by the balls.
