Rays minor league pitcher Tyler Zombro was stretchered off the field in the 8th inning of Thursday night's game and taken to the hospital.  The right-hander was hit in the head with an unfortunate line drive.

Zombro, who appeared to have been knocked unconscious by the comebacker, fell to the ground and started convulsing.  An update from the team stated that he was taken to Duke University Hospital in Durham and is in stable condition.

Life is full of things that cause injuries.  Playing sports is one of those things.

It's unfortunate that Zombro took a line drive to the head and hopefully he makes a full recovery, but we can't be scared to live and we can't live wrapped in bubble wrap.
