Mississippi State got off to a hot start with an upset win over the defending national champs LSU.  Since that Week 1 win it's been all downhill for the Bulldogs.

They followed up the win over LSU with a loss to Arkansas.  Things hit a new low on Saturday when they failed to score on offense during a 24-2 loss to Kentucky.

After the loss, head coach Mike Leach placed the blame on his players.  He's planning to "purge" his team's roster of malcontents to fix those issues.

From ESPN:

"We're going to have to check some of our group and figure out who really wants to play here," Leach said after the Kentucky loss, "because any malcontents, we're going to have to purge a couple of those."

Leach is a quote machine.  It's a little more entertaining when he's talking about aliens or something along those lines.

But purging your roster talk is an incredible line.  Unless of course Leach is talking about you.
