Mikaela Shiffrin is happy today because the Denver Nuggets won their first ever NBA Championship and Denver is her home team since she was born in Vail and her family bounced between Colorado and Vermont her whole life.

Shiffrin had a record breaking ski season this year, with 21 giant slalom wins, breaking a record and had her 138th podium which is one more than Legend Lindsey Vonn.
The 28 year old still has what could be a decade of skiing ahead of her, so it's only breaking more records from here.
In her off season, the star skier does summer things like Windsurfing in Maui, where windsurfing never died, because it was a huge thing in the 80s and will likely make a comeback eventually and Shiffrin may be on the front lines of that.
