Having players and umpires mic'd up gives you an inside look at the action on the field.  During Saturday's Stanford and North Carolina State game a mic'd up umpire gave us an inside look at taking a ball to the nuts.

This is how you don't get any calls during a game.  The catcher has to slide over and block this with his chest protector.  You can't expect an umpire with bruised boys to help you out any.

The fundamentals of the game of baseball have gone out the window.  Slide over block the baseball, save the umpire's nuts, get more calls.  It's really a simple game.
