Mets outfielder Kevin Pillar left Monday night's game against the Braves after taking a fastball to the face. He bled profusely before walking off under his own power.
It all went down in the 7th inning with the bases loaded. A 94 mph fastball got away from Braves reliever Jacob Webb and hit Pillar right in the face.
Scary scene in Atlanta. The Mets’ Kevin Pillar took a pitch to the face. He walked off the field. So that’s good. But, man, that was tough. They’ve actually paused the game to clean up the blood. pic.twitter.com/qn6enR8j7t

That's a tough way to earn an RBI. Pillar gave an update on his condition after the game and said he was doing fine. He also acknowledged the fact that he was credited with an RBI for getting smashed in the face with a fastball.
Thanks to everyone that has reached out! Scary moment but I’m doing fine! #RBI #gamewinner 👍🏽👍🏽

It's not for everyone, but it's a decent way to earn a living if you can get it.
