Odd things come out of the Mets broadcast booth from time to time. Last night during their 11-5 win over the Padres in San Diego they had some thoughts about "stroking out." It started out innocent enough.
Keith Hernandez said the Mets were "stroking out eight hits." His booth partner Gary Cohen went to having a stroke and Hernandez doubled back thinking Cohen was talking about a different kind of stroking out.
Here's a couple of old guys talking every single way about stroking out.

This is why Hernandez is still in the booth after all these years. He's going to say bizarre things from time to time and have has mind dip into the gutter even on things he says. It's much more fun to listen to when the Mets suck, but I'm sure Mets fans don't mind if their favorite teams decides to win a few games.
