Hey Mets fans stop me if you've heard this one before, a starting pitcher left a game due to injury. It happens time and time again to the best of the best in New York's rotation.
On Wednesday night Max Scherzer was the latest to leave a game with an injury. He threw a pitch then immediately looked to the bench and told them he was finished.
The early indications are that he felt some discomfort in his left side before calling to the bench. He will have further tests today.

The Mets are currently sitting on top of the NL East. It's about time for them to take an unfortunate slide, a Max Scherzer injury might help them fall back to earth. It's just the Mets being the Mets.
