The Lions traveled to Los Angeles on Sunday to take on the Rams for the first time since the two teams swapped quarterbacks during the off-season.
Detroit gave the Rams all they could handle in the first half and even took a lead during the third quarter. Possibly a little extra motivation early in this one, but ultimately the Rams took control and beat the Lions 28-19.
Sunday's game served as a reunion of sorts for the two teams, not just for the quarterbacks, but for the families. On Monday Matthew Stafford's wife, Kelly, talked about that reunion and shared a message for Lions fans.
There were tears, belly laughs, long hugs, chills.. just about every emotion yesterday. But there are no words that could properly express the amount of gratitude I have for people of detroit. If Matthew had social media, he would say the same. Just thank you for supporting Matthew the way you did while he was there and even now. Means far more than y’all could imagine. 💙

Kelly is thankful for the support from the Lions faithful, but she has to be even more thankful that she's out of Detroit. I don't know anyone who would choose that terrible city over Los Angeles.
