It's a tale as old as time. The veteran quarterback goes down with an injury and loses his starting job to the young stud. That might be playing out as we speak in Chicago.
Matt Nagy's QB1, Andy Dalton went down with an injury last weekend and as a result he will miss Sunday's game against the Browns. Rookie Justin Fields will get his first NFL start.
With that comes more reps and more time for the coaching staff to realize he's better than Dalton. Nagy seems to have come to that realization this week.
Matt Nagy: "There's things we're seeing that maybe we didn't see in the first two weeks because [Justin Fields] wasn't getting more reps."
He does know he could've just given Fields more starting reps to begin with, right? #Bears

If this doesn't tell you all you need to know about Matt Nagy, I don't know what will. I would fire him immediately for making this comment to the media.

I feel Nagy is one of the most inept coaches in the modern history of the game.
