Diamondbacks pitcher Madison Bumgarner was irritated as he came off the mound following an inning of work against the Marlins. He then had to have his pitching hand checked by first base umpire Dan Bellino and was tossed from the game shortly after.
The umpire didn't just inspect Bumgarner's hand. He appeared to be talking to the pitcher before Bumgarner said something that ended up getting him tossed.
Once he was ejected from the game Bumgarner had to be held back from going after Bellino.

It appears Bumgarner was ejected for something that was said, and not for what was on his hand. pic.twitter.com/g7TldjHHLs

It doesn't appear as if the stupid hand check was the reason for Bumgarner getting ejected, but it did give the first base umpire the opportunity to put on an ump show.
