Kyrie Irving Reportedly Not on Nets West Coast Trip Because His Fiancee is Having a Baby

The Brooklyn Nets will be without guard Kyrie Irving during their current road trip.  According to reports, this absence has nothing to do with Kyrie being Kyrie.

Irving and his fiancee, Marlene Wilkerson, are having a baby.  Reporter Pat Ragazzo broke the news on Twitter and added that Irving is expected to miss one to three more games.

That would put his likely return to the lineup as Monday against the Timberwolves.

If the reports are true, then congratulations to Kyrie and the future Mrs. Irving are in order.  Let's hope they raise the child with the understanding that the earth is round.  That's a really good foundation to start out life with.
