The belief around the NBA was that Kevin Durant had his eyes on the Knicks prior to deciding to team up with Kyrie Irving on the Nets. That's not the case at all. In fact, KD revealed he never wanted to sign with the Knicks.
Durant revealed that fact on "The Old Man and the Three" podcast with J.J. Redick and Tommy Alter this week. He said during the appearance that he didn't want to be the savior of the Knicks or the king of New York.
"I didn't want to be the savior of the Knicks or New York. I didn't care about being the king of New York. That never really moved me. I didn't care about being on Broadway. I just wanted to play ball and go to the crib and chill."

This is the least surprising thing I've heard in a long time. What else would you expect from KD? What he said is exactly what a cupcake would say.
