Kelly Stafford made headlines last week after it was revealed that she threw a pretzel at a heckling fan during the Rams loss to the 49ers in Santa Clara.
During her podcast on Tuesday, Kelly revealed how Matthew responded to the pretzel throwing incident. The two decided that she won't be making any road trips for the time being.
From NY Post:
“He said, ‘Well, I wish I was as accurate as you were, but I guess only one person in the family was accurate that night,'” Kelly shared.
Stafford, who is in his first season with the Rams, had a rocky outing in last Monday’s loss to the 49ers, in which he completed 26 of 41 passes for 243 yards and a touchdown. He also threw interceptions on back-to-back drives in the first quarter.
Kelly, who has been married to Stafford since 2015, added that the 13-year quarterback also said, “Maybe if I wasn’t playing so s—ty the guy wouldn’t be able to say as much to you.”
“To that, I looked at [Stafford] and I was like, ‘This guy would have said anything all night,'” she said, noting that the couple also decided that she’ll press pause on away games for the time being.
Forget playing better or controlling yourself. Those things are highly overrated and can't be guaranteed.
Take a little break then resume the inconsistent play and pretzel throwing. That's much easier!
